Legacy Information

In 1951-52 elections, 1874 qualified as contesting candidates whereas in
1977 elections, 2439 qualified as contesting candidates after rejection of
nominations and withdrawals.
In 2014 elections, 8251 qualified as contesting candidates after rejection of
nominations and withdrawals from a total of 11320 nominations filed across
the country.

Fact

In 2019 elections, 8,054 qualified as contesting candidates after rejection of
nominations and withdrawals from a total of 11692 nominations filed across
the country.
