started receiving advanced applications from youths in
17+ category who would attain majority by January 1, April
1, July 1 or October 1, 2023. The collection of AADHAAR
Numbers on voluntary basis from enrolled electors for
linking with EPIC has made significant progress. This will
help in obtainment of a healthy electoral roll.
At present, the Commission comprises Chief Election
Commissioner Rajiv Kumar, Election Commissioner Anup
Chandra Pandey and Election Commissioner Arun Goel.
The Commission is determined to pursue its agenda of
free, fair, participatory, and voter friendly elections
guided by its motto-’No Voter to be Left Behind’.

Rajiv Kumar has laid emphasis on transparency in political
funding by urging Ministry of Law and Justice to lower the
disclosure limit of all contributions to INR 2,000 (Rupees
Two Thousand) from current INR 20,000 (Rupees Twenty
Thousand). He favours a comprehensive scrutiny of
statutes, procedures and processes to bring about
consequential changes in electoral management.
Pursuant upon the promulgation of Election Laws
(Amendment) Act, 2021 the Registration of Electors
(Amendment) Rules, 2022 were notified by Law and
Justice on June 17, 2022. With effect from August 1, 2022
the modified Forms 6, 6B, 7 and 8 came into force. As a
progressive measure, Election Commission of India Rajiv Kumar assumed charge as the 25 CEC of India on May 15, 2022
