was found in the summary revision of electoral roll
published on February 14, 2014.
The Sixteenth General Elections, 2014 were staggered into
nine phases- April 7, 9, 10, 12, 17, 24, 30 and May 7 & 12.
However, in most of the states/UT (21), the polls were single
phased. Only two states saw six phased polling. These
elections were historic in terms of electoral participation.
The voters' turnout stood at 66.44 percent. The imprint of
SVEEP was evident in the electoral participation.
