Chunav Pathshala (2018):
Chunav Pathshalas are an extension of Electoral Literacy
Clubs, focusing on those outside the fold of formal
educa on. Set up mainly in rural areas, in open ground,
school building, Anganwadi centres or Gram Sabha
premises etc, Chunav Pathshala is a pla orm to engage
the community members to get familiar with their
electoral rights. They blend learning with fun through
ac vi es and hands on experience.
Voter Awareness Forums:
Voter Awareness Forums aim to make adult voters in
government and private organisa ons electorally literate.
These are informal forums which generate discussions
around the electoral process - what, how, where.

Electoral Literacy Clubs (2018):
On 8 Na onal Voters' Day (January 25, 2018) Electoral
Literacy Clubs (ELCs) project was formally launched. The
idea was to inculcate electoral literacy amongst children
below 18 years, as part of school educa on/ co- curricular
ac vi es. These clubs ini ally targe ng school students in
the age group of 14 to 17 years, were later extended to
colleges and universi es. The ELCs have witnessed steady
growth during 2018-19. Their number stood at 7,40,867 as EVM-VVPAT demonstrations underway for locals of Garkone village
of December 2019 before COVID-19 outbreak. in Ladakh
