l Polling station established in Banej village, nestled deep within the Gir
forest, Gujarat speci cally to accommodate the solitary voter residing there.
l For a single family of ve members, polling station was set up in a remote
village of Washi in Leh district.
l Simpli ed registration process for voting by Kashmiri migrants and 26
special polling stations set up in Jammu, Udhampur and Delhi for migrant
Kashmiri voters in addition to postal ballot facility
l In a pathbreaking initiative for a Lok Sabha Election, the facility of home
voting was provided for over 81 lakh 85+ aged voters & over 90 lakh
Persons with Disabilities (PwDs).

l Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group (PVTGs) and Scheduled Tribes (STs)
participated in huge numbers, with Shompen tribe of Great Nicobar voted
enthusiastically in the festival of democracy.
