inclusive. However, data on
voters could officially be
disaggregated into age, gender
and loca on components only,
from the Form 6 ( oter v
registra on form). As per the
report of the R.R. Diwakar
Commi ee – set up by the
Cons tuent Assembly in May,
1949 – the electoral roll/form
could have no column for
religion or caste. To make the
enrollment more inclusive, the
status of third gender and a
column to mark disability status
(op onal) were added to Form 6
in recent years.
