opportunity for the ins tu on to enhance its services. Like
a big scien fic laboratory, where experiments and
research never cease, the Elec on Commission is
constantly on the quest for innova ons and improvement
in electoral management. The Elec on Commission has a
long record of coming up with new ini a ves that make
elec ons a be er experience.
One could broadly categorise these achievements as under-

a) enhancing transparency and credibility
b) be er enforcement towards cleaner elec ons
c) improved use of ICT (Informa on & Communica on
Technology)
d) bolstering voter facilita on and inclusiveness

e) knowledge produc on & sharing
This chapter deals with some of the recent milestones
achieved over the last few years. The next big thing might
