Electoral rolls were first hosted on the ECI and CEOs websites in 2004 as PDF files in various languages. Since 2005, National Electoral Search Engine has been developed, and the Search facility in various languages has been made available. Now, within Search Engine, a citizen can search his/her name within the Assembly Constituency or Parliament Constituency. Also, in the "View Rolls Part by Part" section, the Rolls (Voter lists) are available in various formats. For the States and Union Territories whose Electoral Rolls are yet to be plugged into the National Electoral Search Engine, choosing the State link in the Search Engine takes you directly to the website of the concerned Chief Electoral Officer.
